Quilters have been making and donating quilts to our injured soldiers for many years.  The seed of QoV Canada started in 2006 with the delivery of quilts to three very seriously injured soldiers recovering in an Edmonton Hospital.  Since then, hundreds of QoV quilts have been forwarded to the various contacts within the military and to our veterans facilities.  As of the beginning of 2011, close to 1500 Canadian soldiers and veterans who have been injured or are dealing with the post trauma of their deployment have receive our quilted hugs of gratitude and support.  Most of those quilts are made with the fabrics donated by the quilters.  If you are able to assist the quilters you can give your support directly to the quilters or quilt bees or guilds.  Quilts of Valour will then be able to deliver those quilts.

Donations of quilting fabric (100% cotton), thread or batting.

These donations will be forwarded to quilters as they express their supply needs.  Quilts of Valour does not make quilts, so we do not store or purchase quilting supplies.

Long arm quilters or hand quilters willing to quilt.

As long arm quilters register with QoV, we can connect them to quilters who enquire about the services of a long arm quilter.  The two of them would then work together to complete the quilt.

Volunteers to sew on binding.

As quilts are completed, there are volunteers who are not able to make a quilt at this time, but who do have time and space to be able to bind and label a quilt.

Financial support to ensure our soldiers receive the quilted hugs.

The purpose of Quilts of Valour - Canada is to deliver the quilts made for our soldiers. Volunteers QoV representatives are making the contacts and arrangements for delivering the quilts.  We have assistance from some of freight companies, and are looking to have more come on board.

Those who wish to financially support Quilts of Valour - Canada Society can do so by sending their financial support directly to the address given below.  Direct funds will go to ensuring our injured soldiers receive quilts.  A portion also goes to the administration too, as even preparing charitable receipts is an expense for QoV.

A charitable receipt can be issued for the amount of the donation if requested.

Financial donations can be made through the United Way, or can be be mailed directly to:
