Pattern Ideas

Quilts of any design are acceptable.
We have seen many patterns from patriotic maple leaf or traditional patchwork blocks.
We are fortunate to have patterns or the use of patterns made available to Quilts of Valour - Canada !!  Quilt pattern designers have confirmed their use with us.
Their quilt pattern and links are below.
Unless otherwise noted, please refrain from photocopying patterns and sharing. As with all patterns for sale, a lot of time and effort and expense goes into making patterns, and it is the livelihood for the designer. We appreciate their generosity in sharing with us.

Lois Hooper's Canadian Seasons featured in Canadian Living magazine.

NOTE: The pattern is available on their website, so it cannot be distributed due to copyright laws. However it can be downloaded by individuals for their own use.

There is a book available at the library (or through online purchasing sites)Quiltworks Across Canada by Gail P. Hunt, 1998.

She chose a quilter from each province, and Lois is the New Brunswick rep. The whole quilt workshop is given there with photo instructions. She feels it is MUCH easier to follow.

A maple leaf block was designed by QoV Canada founder Lezley Zwaal for use by the Earthly Goods Quilting shop grads in 2007.  Several of their quilts were given to the injured soldiers in Edmonton.
